What do Autism Services (ABA) Looks Like at Orchid?
At Orchid, we’ve intentionally built something different.
There are many misconceptions about ABA. Our approach reflects a more modern, compassionate model - one that prioritizes assent, autonomy, and meaningful skill-building. Here’s what that looks like at Orchid:
What Services Does Orchid Provide?
Orchid Academy provides comprehensive autism support through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), early intervention, parent and family training, social skills groups, and related therapies, including speech and occupational therapy.
Our services are designed to support each learner’s development across communication, academics, independence, and social skills—both in our clinics and in home and school settings.
We aim to make the transition from diagnosis to services as smooth as possible:
Intake: Quick intake and support in navigating insurance
Assess: Comprehensive assessment and individualized goal setting
Start: Timely start of intensive services (based on availability)
Grow: Ongoing support and clear communication with families
We understand how critical this window is for families—and we take that responsibility seriously.

In recent years, a growing movement 🌊 has emerged, questioning the value of ABA therapy. As a passionate advocate 🌸 for compassionate, individualized care, I believe these criticisms can sometimes do more harm than good, especially for families seeking early intervention 👶.
In this note, I address common misconceptions, highlight the transformative potential 🌟 of modern ABA, and explain why I’m standing up 💪 for a practice that changes lives every day.
